Teaching Philosophy
Helping students explore the world of music is one of my greatest passions. I hope to bring unique guidance and attention to each one of my students and help them discover how music can enrich every aspect of their lives. I even try to find ways for students to connect their study of music with lessons from history, literature, and of course math!
Each lesson is structured based on the needs of my students whether it's preparing band music for an upcoming concert, or figuring out how to play the theme song from James Bond on the saxophone or Harry Potter on the clarinet. The study of instrument technique also plays an important role, but we try to have fun in the process! Performance is always an important element of studying a musical instrument, so I love to provide opportunities for recitals and other performance activities for those students who are interested.
Please feel free to contact me for more details about my private teaching studio. I am also actively accepting students into my studio, chamber ensembles, and classes at the New School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
